With generous support from APNIC and DotAsia , Relief.Asia is happy to announce that about 20 EeePC has arrived at Thailand's Asian Institute of Technology. Training has been conducted in the intERLab of AIT. The Staff in AIT, along with other network facilities which required for setting up DUMBO and Sahana , are now ready to dispatch for Myanmar at any time.
Lanka Software Foundation , the key developer group for Sahana disasterment management software, has established contact with Relief.Asia and will offer support to the ongoing work in Myanmar. A brief introductory presentation about Relief.Asia was given yesterday in the APTLD (Asia Pacific Top-Level Domain Association) Member meeting in Kuala Lumper . It was well received by the audiences and it is expected that more support will be from the ccTLD domain registries in the AP region.
